This painting was inspired by my walks along the Cleveland way from Scarborough to Filey. These photos illustrate the process of reverse glass painting, working backwards and constantly checking the progress by turning the piece round.

There is an element of planning required as the detail is generally painted first, however, I do like to scrape the paint off which creates interesting marks and detail.
