Petrichor is the distinctive, earthy, odour that is associated with rainfall especially when following a warm, dry period. The scent always inspires a feeling of well-being and this is the second painting I have created under this title, inspired by the land, the hidden underworld beneath the soil and the transformation, resilience, and the profound beauty found in the aftermath of long awaited rain.
